Jose Sosa has called on Atletico Madrid to remain focused following three consecutive defeats in all competitions.

Prior to last week's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Madrid, Diego Simeone's side had lost just once in all competitions this season.

However, Tuesday night's 2-0 home loss to Real Madrid, which saw them exit the Copa del Rey, followed a 2-0 defeat against Almeria in La Liga at the weekend.

"The team had the right attitude and nothing is impossible in football," Sosa told reporters.

"But the two goals came too quickly and the game went a way we didn't expect. [The cup] is a good competition but we're out now and we have to focus on what's next, which is important."

Sosa is on loan at Atletico from Metalist Kharkiv.
