Team News: Iker Casillas starts for Real Madrid against Valencia

Iker Casillas retains his place in the Real Madrid starting lineup against Valencia, while Cristiano Ronaldo returns from suspension.

Iker Casillas continues to start between the posts for Real Madrid as they prepare to take on Valencia in the Copa del Rey quarter-final first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper, who reportedly fell out with coach Jose Mourinho, gets the nod ahead of Antonio Adan, who returns from suspension to take his place on the bench.

Left-back Marcelo makes his first start for Madrid in the New Year after recovering from a foot injury, while Ricardo Carvalho and Raul Albiol form the central defensive partnership tonight.

Valencia will have Tino Costa starting in central midfield in place of their injured captain David Albelda.
