Half-Time Report: Real Madrid cruising past Getafe

Real Madrid coast into a 2-0 half-time lead away to Getafe in the Primera Division this afternoon.

Real Madrid have cruised into a 2-0 half-time lead away to Getafe in the Primera Division.

Jese Rodriguez continued to enhance his growing reputation by firing Los Blancos ahead after six minutes, collecting a pass from Gareth Bale before curling beyond goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya to bag his eighth goal of the campaign.

Carlo Ancelotti's men doubled their advantage on the half-hour mark, with Angel di Maria surging down the flank before finding the lurking Karim Benzema, who thumped home into the bottom corner.

Bale spurned the opportunity to effectively kill off the encounter shortly after, dragging his effort wide of the mark.
