Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Osasuna

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's La Liga clash against Osasuna.

Real Madrid will aim to keep the momentum going from their El Clasico victory over Barcelona when they welcome surprise package Osasuna to the capital on Wednesday in La Liga.

Los Blancos prevailed 2-1 at Camp Nou to take the spoils in Sunday's derby, with David Alaba and Lucas Vazquez both netting before Sergio Aguero's consolation right at the death.

Carlo Ancelotti's side still find themselves second in the table after the Clasico triumph, but they have cut the gap to leaders Real Sociedad to one point following their draw with champions Atletico Madrid.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Gareth Bale is out for the long term with a hamstring injury sustained in September and is not expected back for another six weeks.

Federico Valverde

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 27 (vs. Osasuna)

Federico Valverde took a blow to the knee in El Clasico and had to come off 20 minutes after being brought onto the field as a substitute, and the Uruguayan's problem will be assessed before this clash.

Luka Jovic

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 27 (vs. Osasuna)

Luka Jovic's ankle problem kept him out of El Clasico and he remains a doubt for the visit of Osasuna, but the striker would have had little chance of starting anyway.

Dani Ceballos

Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Dani Ceballos suffered a serious ankle injury while representing Spain at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and is facing at least another month out of action.

Isco
