Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole rounds up all of Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their El Clasico showdown with Barcelona.

Real Madrid head into Saturday's El Clasico with Barcelona knowing that victory will take them level on points with La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane's side have put together a 12-match unbeaten streak in all competitions, a run which has included 10 wins since February 6.

However, while Los Blancos are full of confidence after their triumph over Liverpool in the Champions League, defeat at the weekend would allow Barcelona to open up a five-point advantage with eight games remaining.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with their fierce rivals.

Sergio Ramos

Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Ramos suffered a calf injury while on international duty with Spain, resulting in the club captain being ruled out for the upcoming fixtures with Barcelona and Liverpool.

Raphael Varane

Possible return date: April 18 (vs. Getafe)

Varane was forced to miss the first fixture with Liverpool after recording a positive coronavirus test. Keeping in line with regulations, the Frenchman will not be available again until the La Liga contest with Getafe on April 18.

Eden Hazard

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 13 (vs. Liverpool)

Having recently returned to training and no risks being taken earlier this week, Hazard was expected to feature in Zidane's latest squad. However, the Belgian remains sidelined, leaving him to focus on a potential recall to the group for the trip to Liverpool.

Dani Carvajal
