Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Granada

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Granada.

Real Madrid will be looking to strengthen their grip on first position in La Liga when they welcome Granada to the Bernabeu on Saturday afternoon.

Last weekend's goalless draw at Atletico Madrid moved Los Blancos back to the top of the table - one point clear of second-placed Granada, who have also been in strong form this season.

Madrid are yet to lose in Spain's top flight during the 2019-20 campaign, but Zinedine Zidane's side were disappointingly held to a 2-2 draw by Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's clash.

Marco Asensio

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Marco Asensio faces a battle to play again this season after suffering a serious knee injury during the team's preparations for the 2019-20 campaign. A timeframe on his return has not yet been set by the club.

Ferland Mendy

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Mallorca)

Madrid have been without the services of Ferland Mendy for their last three matches in all competitions due to a groin problem. The summer arrival will not be available for this weekend's clash with Granada but could return against Mallorca after the international break.

Nacho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Nacho faces a battle to play before 2020 after picking up a knee ligament injury during the clash with Brugge on Tuesday night. The versatile defender's return has been pencilled in for the latter stages of December.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Zidane has no suspension issues heading into Saturday's clash at the Bernabeu.
