Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Athletic Bilbao vs. Real Madrid.

Real Sociedad vs. Girona (Saturday, 4.00pm)

Real Sociedad will be bidding to make the perfect start to their 2023-24 La Liga campaign when they welcome Girona to Anoeta Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The home side finished fourth in Spain's top flight last term, securing a Champions League spot for the new campaign, while Girona also enjoyed a successful season, claiming 10th spot in the table.

We say: Real Sociedad 2-1 Girona

Girona deserve a lot of respect for their performance last season, and they are more than capable of picking up a positive result in this match. Real Sociedad are the favourites, though, and we are expecting the Basque outfit to secure all three points in their division opener.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Las Palmas vs. Mallorca (Saturday, 6.30pm)

Las Palmas will start life back in La Liga with a home fixture against Mallorca on Saturday night.

La Union Deportiva secured a return to the top flight courtesy of finishing second in the Segunda Division last season, while Mallorca enjoyed an impressive 2022-23 La Liga campaign, claiming ninth spot.

We say: Las Palmas 1-2 Mallorca

Las Palmas will know the importance of their home form this season, but this is a tough opener against a very impressive Mallorca outfit. The visitors have quality across the pitch, and we are backing Mallorca to open their campaign with a narrow success on Saturday night.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Athletic Bilbao vs. Real Madrid (Saturday, 8.30pm)

Real Madrid will be bidding to make the perfect start to their 2023-24 La Liga campaign when they head to San Mames on Saturday evening to take on Athletic Bilbao.

Los Blancos finished second in the table last season, 10 points behind the champions Barcelona, while Athletic were eighth, two points behind seventh-placed Osasuna in the race for European qualification.

We say: Athletic Bilbao 1-2 Real Madrid

Real Madrid have not lost at San Mames in La Liga since March 2015, winning on their last four visits to the stadium in Spain's top flight. There have been some teething problems for Los Blancos during pre-season in terms of their new formation, but we are backing Ancelotti's side to navigate their way to all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
