Real Madrid goalkeeper Antonio Adan has blasted the referee's decision to send him off just six minutes into this evening's clash with Real Sociedad.
Adan was punished for bringing down Carlos Vela in the penalty area, with Iker Casillas quickly ushered into the action in a frantic encounter at the Bernabeu.
The 25-year-old also revealed that he is fed up of what he has branded "disrespectful" press treatment of his recent run in the starting XI.
He told reporters: "These past weeks many things have been said, but I've ignored them. It's 16 years since I came to this club and nothing really surprises me.
"There have been many disrespectful opinions about me and my job. I'm a cantera player. I know how I arrived here and I will keep on doing it my way.
"I was pissed off in the locker room [because] the red card was excessive."
Jose Mourinho's side responded and went on to claim a 4-3 victory and keep their slim hopes of catching Barcelona and retaining their La Liga title alive.
