Carlo Ancelotti facing two-game ban?

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti could miss the remainder of the season if he is found guilty of 'an act of contempt' towards a referee.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti could face a two-game ban if he is found guilty of 'an act of contempt' towards a match official.

Following Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Valencia, referee Clos Gomez reported the Italian for his actions at the Bernabeu.

"At the end of the game, I was approached by the home coach D. Carlo Ancelotti from some 30 metres' distance; he then openly applauded, evidently is disapproval of our officiating," Gomez wrote in his report, according to AS.

"Later, he repeated the same action inside the players' tunnel directing his applause to my first assistant."

Under Article 117 or the rules and regulations, Ancelotti could face a two-game ban if the matter is considered to be 'an act of contempt'.
