Carlo Ancelotti has not ruled out the possibility of staying on at Paris Saint-Germain despite asking the club to terminate his contract.
The Italian has expressed his desire to succeed Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, but said that he will only leave upon reaching an amicable agreement with Les Parisiens.
"We must hold discussions with the club to find a good solution, but it is not easy," the 53-year-old told reporters.
"If we do not find a solution, I will respect my contract. It is not up to me or the club - both parties have to agree. Maybe I'll be the next coach of PSG."
Ancelotti takes his team to Lorient for their final Ligue 1 fixture this evening.
