Real Mallorca's Giovani dos Santos warns Real Madrid against complacency

Giovani dos Santos claims that Real Mallorca will attack Real Madrid during their La Liga clash on Sunday.

Real Mallorca attacking midfielder Giovani dos Santos has warned Real Madrid not to underestimate his side when the two teams confront each other on Sunday.

The 23-year-old believes that the Islanders can defeat the defending Spanish champions at home in La Liga.

"The visit of Madrid, one of the biggest clubs in the world, is a huge motivation for us to up our game," he said on Friday.

"We really need a result after three defeats [against Getafe, Granada and Sevilla] and Madrid haven't been playing great recently. If you want to beat Madrid, you have to attack them.

"They have the added pressure of knowing that Barcelona are running away with the league and, therefore, they'll go out and attack us from the off, and we'll try to take advantage of the space they will leave."

Mallorca are currently eighth in the league table with 11 points from eight matches, three points behind Madrid.
