Isco has said that Real Madrid and Spain teammate Marco Asensio must be given time and space to develop.
Asensio has scored four times and provided two assists in 11 La Liga appearances this season, and has been widely praised for his performances since breaking into the first-team picture.
Isco has paid tribute to the "potential" of his teammate, but has insisted that it is important to avoid placing too much pressure on the 21-year-old.
"His potential as a player is great and he has a massive future ahead of him," Isco told Movistar+.
"His left foot is incredible and few players possess a weapon like that, so we have to allow him to continue growing and improving and avoid filling his head with little birds.
"We don't talk about Ballon d'Or awards or anything like that, all we can do is focus on working hard and training to improve ourselves every day."
Isco and Asensio are currently with the Spain squad ahead of La Roja's international friendlies against Costa Rica and Russia.
