Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho admits his side face tough conditions when they travel to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that the club face 'difficult conditions' when they travel to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The Portuguese boss, who has taken his side to the top of La Liga, also claimed that the Russian side will be "difficult" opponents.

"We will have to be stronger than the conditions, which are difficult and different. Synthetic pitch is not the same as natural pitch. Minus 10 degrees is not the same as 10 degrees. We must be at the top of our game to overcome these factors," Mourinho said at his press conference.

"Year after year, [CSKA Moscow] are in the Champions League and it is normal to see them go past the group stage. They are a difficult opponent and we will have to respect them."

Mourinho led Porto and Inter Milan to the Champions League title in 2004 and 2010 respectively.
