Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil has said that Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has made him a better player.
Ozil, who arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu at the same time as Mourinho, admits that the former Chelsea boss has helped him to improve his work rate and defensive capabilities.
"Forwards also must work," he told El Pais.
"I have become more active and Mourinho will improve me even more.
"In Madrid, he is a legend and also a good friend. He has given me confidence and I am grateful to him. I feel comfortable there."
Meanwhile, Ozil is expected to start against Greece tonight at Euro 2012.
