Mesut Ozil says that he would like to end his career with Real Madrid.

Mesut Ozil has said that he would like to remain at Real Madrid for the remainder of his career.

The German international moved to Los Blancos in 2010 and admits that he is so happy with life in the Spanish capital that he would like to remain at the club for the rest of his playing days.

"I'd like to end my career at Real Madrid," Ozil told Bild.

"Madrid is a fantastic city, I'm really happy here, I know the club has great confidence in me and I have many friends here, like Sergio Ramos and [Karim] Benzema."

The 24-year-old also dismissed any notion of in-house problems in the Madrid camp amid reports of Mourinho having a fallout with high-profile players such as Iker Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"The media have no idea about what really goes on. Things quite often get blown out of proportion. We have a good laugh in the locker room. The only thing I care about is that we respect each other, and we do."

Jose Mourinho's side are currently 15 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.
