Pepe is confident that Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Real Madrid but is not so sure about Jose Mourinho.

Real Madrid defender Pepe believes that Cristiano Ronaldo will renew his contract at the Bernabeu, but is unsure whether boss Jose Mourinho will do the same.

Ronaldo's current deal runs out in 2015, with Madrid keen for him to sign a new one. The Portuguese, however, is said to be unhappy in Spain and reportedly wants to return to Manchester United.

Mourinho too is said to be unhappy, but while Pepe is confident that his international teammate will stay, he is not sure about his manager.

"Cristiano is happy at Real Madrid and focussed on helping the team. I'm sure he'll extend his contract," Pepe told Grande Area.

"However, I am not sure what Mourinho will do. There are no certainties. Only the boss knows what the future holds for him but I hope he stays because we need him."

Mourinho recently insisted that he was not thinking about leaving Madrid.
