Sergio Ramos 'using Gareth Bale to isolate Cristiano Ronaldo'

A report claims that the behind-the-scenes power struggle in the Real Madrid dressing room has been stepped up, as Sergio Ramos is keen to isolate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is reportedly using Gareth Bale and Luka Modric to his advantage in a behind-the-scenes power struggle with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ramos and Ronaldo are rumoured to be battling it out for control of the Madrid dressing room, which is currently split into three separate factions.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Ramos is using Bale and Modric as pawns to isolate fellow teammate Ronaldo and wrest back complete control.

The report suggests that the Spain international is so keen to have Modric on his side that he has even arranged a meal, with Isco and Marco Asensio also invited.

Ronaldo's grip on the dressing room is said to have loosened following the departures of close friends James Rodriguez, Pepe and Fabio Coentrao.
