Zinedine Zidane has declared himself "very happy" with Real Madrid's display against Manchester United at the Levi's Stadium in their opening pre-season outing.
Los Blancos carved out a 1-1 draw against their fitter opponents, who already had a few run-outs under their belts heading into Sunday evening's clash in Santa Clara.
Madrid trailed at the break but soon battled back in the second half through a Casemiro spot kick, forcing a penalty shootout in the humid conditions which United edged 2-1.
Zidane is pleased with the way the match panned out after giving the likes of Theo Hernandez, Oscar and Alvaro Tejero a chance to get some minutes on the pitch.
"I'm very happy with the game we played, it was a complete performance and the guys did very well," he told reporters. "We didn't have any injuries and that's the most important thing."
Zidane also revealed that Sergio Ramos is close to resuming full training after missing the high-profile friendly.
