The win hands them their second ICC trophy of the pre-season.

Here, Sports Mole rates the individual performances of the players involved.

REAL MADRID

Goal

Keylor Navas: Navas only played the first half for the La Liga side, and did not have too many efforts to stop, but he kept a clean sheet. (6/10)

Defence

Raphael Varane: Varane made a decent block early on when Milan were in control but was beaten by the pace of Niang and Bertolacci a couple of times. (5/10)

Pepe: The centre-back appeared to find the hot and humid conditions tough, regularly failing to match Niang's pace. (4/10)

Alvaro Arbeloa: Arbeloa was one of the quieter defenders in the first half, but got forward a couple of times. (5/10)

Danilo: Danilo played a more attacking role than his defensive colleague, providing a couple of dangerous-looking balls into the box, and firing a shot just wide. (7/10)

Midfield

Cristiano Ronaldo: Ronaldo could not get the service he needed in the first half, but the Ballon d'Or looked brighter in the second half, although ultimately could not find the back of the net. (5/10)

Gareth Bale: After failing to get going in the first 45 minutes, Bale was involved in a couple of promising moves after the break and came close with a free kick. (7/10)

Casemiro: Casemiro had an unspectacular but solid day in the middle, and was the only player to feature for the full 90 minutes for Benitez's side. (5/10)

Lucas Vazquez: Vazquez was Real's liveliest player in the first half, regularly getting involved on the edge of the box and creating problems for the Milan defenders. (8/10)

Luka Modric: Modric was involved at both ends of the pitch in the first half, working hard during his 45-minute spell for the La Liga side. (7/10)

Attack

Karim Benzema: Benzema had one of Real's best chances in the first half, heading just wide shortly before the interval, but did not return after the break. (6/10)

Substitutes

Kiko Casilla: The substitute keeper made a vital late save to deny Bacca a late winner before scoring in the penalty shootout. (9/10)

Sergio Ramos: With chances scarce throughout, there was not too much to trouble the defender, but he made several solid blocks to protect Casilla. (6/10)

Nacho: Nacho only featured for 20 minutes, but his performance was workman-like, and he scored in the penalty shootout. (7/10)

Marcelo: As well as defending well, Marcelo showed plenty of urgency late on as Real pressed for a winner in the final minutes. (8/10)

Dani Carvajal: Carvajal was quiet during his 20-minute spell after replacing Danilo, but scored a solid penalty. (6/10)

James Rodriguez: Rodriguez looked one of the La Liga side's best chances for a late goal, battling down the left in the final moments. (7/10)

Isco: Isco's introduction at half time made Real a much more attacking side at the start of the second half. (8/10)

Toni Kroos: Kroos came close to opening the scoring a couple of times, but was the only Real player to miss during the penalty shootout. (6/10)

Jese: Jese narrowly missed the target after replacing Benzema in the second half, but could not find a goal for the second straight match. (7/10)

Defence

Mattia de Sciglio: The defender had a quiet but mistake-free performance before being withdrawn with 15 minutes to go. (5/10)

Rodrigo Ely: The new signing was facing Bale and Benzema for much of the first half, and left the duo too much room on a couple of occasions. (4/10)

Luca Antonelli: Antonelli was also exposed by Real's attacking pace at times, but did manage to make some timely blocks and clearances. (6/10)

Alex: Alex played only in the first half and mainly stayed at the back, giving him a quiet afternoon as Real created few chances before half time. (5/10)

Midfield

Suso: Suso caught Real out with a couple of well-timed counter-attacks in the opening 45 minutes, but rarely threatened in the final third. (6/10)

Andrea Poli: Like Suso, Poli got the ball out from the back on several occasions, but did not go on to put the Real defenders under pressure. (5/10)

Nigel de Jong: The midfielder made contributions at both ends of the pitch, and scored a solid penalty in the shootout. (7/10)

M'baye Niang: The winger was excellent in the first half, causing all sorts of problems with blistering pace and stunning footwork, but a knock just before half time prevented him from continuing after the break. (8/10)

Andrea Bertolacci: Bertolacci was one of just two players to play all 90 minutes for Milan, and threatened a couple of times for the Serie A side. (7/10)

Alessandro Matri: Matri did not get a touch in normal time, replacing Mexes with just seconds remaining, but he did net from the spot in the penalty shootout. (6/10)

Jose Mauri: Mauri was a lively replacement for Niang at half time, showing lots of pace and determination getting forward. (7/10)

Luiz Adriano: Adriano took a while to get going after replacing Cerci at half time, but did show promise towards the end of the match. (6/10)
