Sunday's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup: Lautaro Martinez, Luka Jovic, Sergio Ramos

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Real Madrid on Sunday, November 8.

The summer transfer window has now closed, with Real Madrid having failed to sign a single player in one of the quietest windows in their history.

The financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic prevented the Spanish champions from doing their usual business, but a busy summer of 2021 is already being predicted with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga thought to be on their shortlist.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news of possible comings and goings at the Bernabeu.

Sunday morning's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup:

Zinedine Zidane 'wants Real Madrid to sign Lautaro Martinez over Erling Braut Haaland'

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane would reportedly prefer his club to sign Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez over Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland.

Los Blancos are thought to be preparing for life after Karim Benzema, with the Frenchman entering the latter stages of his career at the Bernabeu.

A recent report claimed that Madrid had identified Haaland as their number one target and were confident of signing the Norway international during the summer of 2022.

However, according to Tribal Football, Zidane would prefer to sign Martinez, with the Frenchman of the opinion that the Inter forward would be the better fit for his philosophy.

The 23-year-old has scored four times in nine appearances for his Italian club this season, while Haaland has managed 10 goals in 10 outings in all competitions.

The Spanish champions are also allegedly hopeful of signing Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe during next summer's transfer window.

Luka Jovic 'wants to leave Real Madrid'

Luka Jovic is reportedly ready to leave Real Madrid, having failed to make his mark for the Spanish giants since arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019.

The 22-year-old has only scored twice in 31 appearances for Los Blancos, while he is yet to register in four outings in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign.

Jovic has only played 12 minutes of La Liga football since the end of September, while he has not featured in either of their last two Champions League matches with Borussia Monchengladbach and Inter Milan.

The Serbia international still has four and a half years left to run on his contract at the Bernabeu, but according to Marca, he is now looking to leave Zinedine Zidane's side.

The report claims that the striker is currently exploring other options and could push for a move when the January transfer window opens for business.

Madrid have recently been linked with both Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland and Inter's Lautaro Martinez as they search for a long-term Karim Benzema replacement.
