Team News: Five changes for Real Madrid

Real Madrid make five changes to their starting lineup for their match against Valencia, while Sami Khedira returns from a knee injury to make the bench.

Carlo Ancelotti has made five changes to the Real Madrid side that knocked Bayern Munich out of the Champions League during the week for this evening's La Liga clash with Valencia.

Diego Lopez returns between the posts, while Raphael Varane, Marcelo, Isco and Asier Illarramendi also come in.

Sami Khedira is named among the home side's substitutes for the first time since injuring his knee five months ago.

Meanwhile, Paco Alcacer returns from a suspension which kept him out of action in the Europa League during the week to lead the attack for the visitors.

Daniel Parejo and Eduardo Vargas will provide support to the lone striker, while Jonas and Federico Cartabia are among the substitutes.

Real Madrid: Lopez; Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Carvajal; Alonso, Isco, Illarramendi; Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale
Subs: Casillas, Coentrao, Fernandez, Khedira, Casemiro, Di Maria, Morata,

Valencia: Alves; Pereira, Bernat, Costa, Mathieu; Feghouli, Keita, Fuego, Vargas, Parejo; Alcacer
Subs: Guaita, Barragan, Vezo, Michel, Jonas, Vasconcelos, Cartabia
