Guillem Balague: 'Sami Khedira moving back to Germany'

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira will join either Bayern Munich or Schalke 04 in the summer, according to Guillem Balague.

Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that Sami Khedira will play his football in the Bundesliga next season.

The midfielder joined Real Madrid from Stuttgart following the conclusion of the 2010 World Cup.

However, with his contract at the Bernabeu due to expire this summer, the 27-year-old, according to Balague, has decided that the time is right for him to move back to his native Germany.

Balague, though, does not know whether it is Bayern Munich or Schalke 04 that have won the race for his signature.

"For three days Khedira didn't go to training and there's not actually a reason for it. He has signed for a German team, some say Bayern [and] some say Schalke." he told Sky Sports News.

Khedira has been limited to just 17 appearances in all competitions this term.
