Real Madrid could reportedly be forced to abandon a move for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland this summer due to the presence of Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu.
Benzema has again been in impressive form for Los Blancos during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 19 times in 36 appearances in all competitions.
Madrid are believed to be interested in signing Haaland during this summer's transfer window, with the 19-year-old scoring 12 times in 11 appearances since arriving at BVB in January.
However, according to AS, any move for the teenager depends on Benzema as the Frenchman is an 'undisputed starter' under Zinedine Zidane, having excelled since Cristiano Ronaldo's departure.
The 32-year-old, who has a contract at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2022, has scored 14 La Liga goals during the 2019-20 campaign.
Madrid have also been linked with a move for Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
