Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo dismisses suggestions that striker Radamel Falcao will leave the club.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has insisted that striker Radamel Falcao will not leave the club.

The 26-year-old Colombian's father Radamel Garcia said this week that his son's "dream" is to play for Real Madrid, although Falcao himself has stressed his commitment to Atletico.

"I don't consider it important if a player does not confirm his intention of leaving," Cerezo is quoted as saying by AS.

"A father can talk about his sons, of course, but Falcao has already explained he is very happy here and he still has four years remaining on his contract.

"We are in a great moment now, very happy. We have to keep calm; Falcao is not leaving."

Falcao joined Atletico from Porto last summer and helped them win the Europa League in the 2011-12 season.
