CSKA Moscow have reportedly opened talks with Real Madrid in a bid to sign winger Denis Cheryshev.
The 24-year-old has had loan spells with Sevilla and Villarreal over the last two seasons, and has also been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.
According to Russian newspaper Izvestia, the club have been in talks with Cheryshev's representatives over a £12m move, believing that he would prefer to return to his homeland over a move to England.
Cheryshev, who still has two years left on his Real contract, scored four goals and had 10 assists in 26 appearances in the league for Villarreal last season.
