Lyon forward Mariano Diaz has talked up the possibility of returning to Real Madrid in the future.
The 24-year-old left Madrid for Lyon last summer, and has scored 18 times in 38 appearances for the French outfit during the 2017-18 campaign.
Los Blancos are believed to be closely monitoring the development of their former player, and Mariano has refused to rule out returning to the Bernabeu at some point in the future.
"I have a five-year contract with Lyon but going back to Madrid would be incredible, even if I decided it was best to leave the club in the summer," he told Cadena SER.
Mariano netted five times in 14 first-team appearances for Real Madrid last season.
