Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has admitted that he would be happy for Hamit Altintop to stay at the club.
The Turkish international has been linked with a move to Galatasaray after only a handful of appearances for the Spanish champions last season.
"Hamit is a very important player in Turkey," Mourinho told reporters. "I have a great relationship with him as he is a great player and a great person.
"I would be happy if he stays, but if he wants a change of scenery, it's his life. If he wants to return to Turkey - if that's what he wants for his career - we will facilitate that."
Altintop moved to the Santiago Bernabeu from Bayern Munich on a free transfer last summer.
