Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly put contract talks with Neymar on hold as they attempt to prevent Kylian Mbappe from leaving the club in the near future.
The French champions were said to be considering handing Neymar a new long-term deal after the Brazil international remained at the club despite a summer of speculation.
However, according to L'Equipe, talks over a new contract for the South American have stalled as PSG want to focus on Mbappe amid the widespread speculation surrounding the attacker's future.
Real Madrid are said to be determined to sign the France international in next summer's transfer window, but PSG are eager to sort out a new deal with the 2018 World Cup winner.
Mbappe, who is believed to be valued in excess of £250m by his French club, has scored 66 times in 95 appearances for Les Parisiens in all competitions.
Madrid, alongside Barcelona, were also linked with Neymar over the summer but have now seemingly dropped their interest in the former Santos youngster to pursue his teammate.
