Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos has hailed Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar as one of the world's best players.
Madrid have been chasing the Brazilian for a while now and Ramos went on the charm offensive when asked about the 27-year-old's qualities.
"I've always said that, Neymar seems to me a top player, of the three best footballers in the world," he is quoted as saying by AS
"But talking about players who are not here can be a little disrespectful to this squad and to new players who have arrived with enthusiasm. In the future it will be seen."
Real Madrid are now reportedly in the driving seat when it comes to signing Neymar, after Barcelona missed a Friday deadline to match PSG's asking price for their former star.
Real Madrid fell to a disappointing 1-1 draw in their first home match of the new season, with Sergi Guardiola's late goal cancelling out Karim Benzema's 82nd minute strike.
