Real Madrid will reportedly move for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek if they are unsuccessful in their attempts to bring Manchester United's Paul Pogba to the Bernabeu.
Madrid continue to be strongly linked with Pogba, who has expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford in this summer's transfer window.
Juventus are thought to be the Frenchman's preferred destination, though, with the Italian champions now under the management of Maurizio Sarri.
According to Marca, should Los Blancos fail to land the United midfielder then they will move for Van de Beek, who scored 17 times and registered 13 assists in 57 appearances for Ajax last season.
The 22-year-old, who is a five-time Netherlands international, has a contract in Amsterdam until June 2022.
Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan recently claimed that Van de Beek wanted to leave his Dutch club for the Premier League the summer.
