Real Madrid are reportedly refusing to rule out an exit for Gareth Bale this summer as they bid to get the Wales international off their wage bill.

Real Madrid are reportedly continuing to assess their options with regards to an exit for Gareth Bale.

With the Wales international having fallen down the pecking order since the return of Zinedine Zidane, all parties would prefer to cut ties ahead of the new season.

However, Bale recently implied that Los Blancos officials were standing in the way of an exit, partly due to two years remaining on his contract.

According to AS, the La Liga champions are prepared to part ways with the forward on a free transfer, providing that he agrees to cancel the last 12 months of his big-money contract.

Although a number of clubs have been linked with the 31-year-old over the past year, there is little desire to pay a transfer fee on top of Bale's wage demands.

Bale has played just 145 minutes for club and country since the end of February.
