Mariano Garcia Remon: 'Iker Casillas will be considering future'

Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Mariano Garcia Remon doubts that Iker Casillas will be at the Bernabeu next season.

Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Mariano Garcia Remon has admitted that he finds it difficult to picture Iker Casillas at the Bernabeu next season.

Casillas plays in both cup competitions for Los Blancos, but is second choice to Diego Lopez in La Liga, with speculation continually surrounding the Spaniard's future.

"Casillas is showing incredible maturity and great calm with his decision-making but inside, I'm sure that he is considering leaving Real Madrid if things continue as they are," he told La Xarxa.

"If he leaves or not, won't depend entirely on Iker – the club will also have a say in the matter. I've a feeling that something will happen at the end of this season."

Casillas is expected to battle with Barcelona's Victor Valdes for a starting spot for Spain at the World Cup this summer.
