Carlo Ancelotti will reportedly attempt to bring Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric to Bayern Munich at the end of the current campaign.
Ancelotti, who left Real Madrid at the end of last season, will officially take charge of Bayern this summer when Pep Guardiola departs.
The Italian is expected to have significant transfer funds available and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, he will attempt to bring Modric to the Allianz Arena.
Modric, 30, joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012 and is closing on 150 appearances for the Spanish giants.
The Croatian, who is believed to have had a close relationship with Ancelotti at the Bernabeu, has also scored 10 times in 86 games for his country.
