Wesley Sneijder has urged Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez to snub a move to Barcelona and instead join Real Madrid.
The La Liga heavyweights have both been tipped to move for Martinez, who has scored 16 goals in the Champions League and Serie A this season.
Barca reportedly have the advantage in the race to sign the Argentina international, but Sneijder - who swapped Madrid for Inter in 2009 - wants to see him at the Santiago Bernabeu next season.
"I don't like Barcelona, I played for Real Madrid," he told the Daily Mail. "Winning at Inter is a unique feeling. I did it and I wish he does it before leaving.
"I recommend Real Madrid to him. He is a player who is physically strong and mentally strong. I can only tell him to try to play for Real Madrid but only after many years at Inter."
Sneijder won a domestic and European treble with Inter in 2010, the same year that he helped Netherlands to the World Cup final.
