Isco would have reportedly looked for a move away from Real Madrid in this summer's transfer window had Zinedine Zidane not returned to the club as head coach in the latter stages of the 2018-19 season.
The 27-year-old only contributed three goals and one assist in La Liga last term, with the Spain international struggling to show his best form under Santiago Solari.
According to Marca, Isco would have attempted to leave the Bernabeu this summer if Solari remained in charge, but Zidane's return for a second spell convinced the playmaker to remain at the club.
The report claims that there was interest from other clubs earlier this summer, although the Spaniard made it clear that he was not interested in a departure.
Isco has been involved in both of Madrid's La Liga matches this term, but the former Malaga youngster is now facing two to three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.
