Report: Esteban Granero out until 2015

Real Sociedad confirm that Esteban Granero will miss the Spanish club's final two games of 2014 with an ankle injury.

Real Sociedad midfielder Esteban Granero has been ruled out of action until 2015 after suffering an ankle injury in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao.

Scans were undertaken after the Spaniard was forced off in the Basque derby, and Sociedad have revealed that the former Real Madrid midfielder has suffered a Grade Two left ankle sprain.

As a result, the 27-year-old will miss the Copa del Rey clash against Real Oviedo this week and the league clash with Levante at the weekend.

Granero, who started his career with Real Madrid, joined Sociedad on a permanent deal this summer after spending the 2013-14 season on loan at the Anoeta from Queens Park Rangers.
