Markel Bergara: 'Complicated to finish fourth'

Real Sociedad midfielder Markel Bergara concedes that it will be "complicated" for the club to finish in the top four this season.

Real Sociedad midfielder Markel Bergara has admitted that it is "complicated" for the Basque outfit to finish fourth in La Liga this season.

Sociedad, who finished in the top four last season, currently sit in sixth spot in the table, seven points behind fourth-place Athletic Bilbao with just 12 matches remaining.

"We have to be realistic, because right now we're seven points behind Athletic and they're doing very well this season," he told reporters at a press conference.

"It's complicated for us, obviously, but we're in a privileged situation in La Liga and we can't think of this as a bad season, because we're sixth and we're close to repeating our aim of getting back into Europe."

Sociedad lost 1-0 against Sevilla on Sunday.
