Real Valladolid hit with Jeffren Suarez blow

A torn glute is expected to keep Real Valladolid forward Jeffren Suarez out of action for five weeks.

Jeffren Suarez is expected to be out of action for the next five weeks after tearing his right glute on his Real Valladolid debut at the weekend.

The former Barcelona attacker moved to Valladolid from Sporting Lisbon at the end of the January window and entered as a second-half substitute during the 2-2 draw with Elche.

However, the Venezuelan was forced off the field in the latter stages, with scans revealing that the attacker had torn a muscle in his glute.

It is understood that the 26-year-old will miss Valladolid's next seven league matches.
