Evian Thonon Gaillard have increased their chances of avoiding relegation from Ligue 1 this season with a 2-1 victory over Reims away from home.
The visitors went ahead in the 18th minute when Sidney Govou sent through Kevin Berigaud to score from close range.
Evian doubled their advantage on 53 minutes when released by Djakaridja Kone, Youssef Adnane slotted home from the centre of Reims penalty box.
Berigaud could have made it 3-0 for the visitors four minutes later had his shot from distance not been saved by Reims goalkeeper Agassa Kossi.
The hosts halved the deficit in the 73rd minute when Cedric Cambon scored an own goal, but it proved to be a mere consolation for them.
