All square between Reims, Monaco

Monaco are held to a 1-1 draw by Reims away from home in Ligue 1.

Reims held Monaco to a 1-1 draw in tonight's Ligue 1 showdown.

The hosts started the game brightly and took a deserved lead in the fourth minute through Antoine Devaux, who took advantage of slack defending from Monaco to head beyond Danijel Subasic.

Monaco hit back in the 13th minute when Joao Moutinho rifled home a free kick, beating Reims goalkeeper Kossi Agassa at his near post.

Both sides came close before the half-time whistle, with Subasic tipping a Devaux strike onto the post at one end and Radamel Falcao firing narrowly wide at the other.

Reims were unfortunate not to restore their lead in the 63rd minute when Floyd Ayite's volley rattled Subasic's crossbar.

The evening ended on a sour note for the hosts as Atila Turan was given his marching orders after committing two yellow card offences within the space of two minutes.
