Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill has revealed that Jonathan Walters is "pretty doubtful" for the Group E clash against Belgium at Euro 2016 due to injury.
The Stoke City forward was named in the starting lineup of Ireland's 1-1 draw with Sweden on Monday, just two days after he returned to full training following an Achilles problem.
The injury hampered Walters during the game, though, and he was substituted by O'Neill in the 63rd minute of the clash.
Now, it is unlikely that the 32-year-old will be able to play in Bordeaux this weekend.
"Jon Walters, obviously, would be the main concern," Sky Sports News quotes O'Neill as saying. "I'd say he would be pretty doubtful for the second game coming up."
After the opening round of games, Ireland sit third in Group E, level on points with second-placed Sweden and two behind Italy, who earned a 2-0 win over Belgium last night.
