Helder Guedes earns Rio Ave a point away at Belenenses

An own goal from Goncalo Brandao and a Helder Guedes strike earns Rio Ave a 3-3 draw away at Belenenses.

Two late goals have earned Rio Ave a draw away at Belenenses on the opening weekend of the Primeira Liga this evening.

The hosts looked to be easing to victory when they led 3-1, but Rio Ave hit back through an own goal and a Helder Guedes strike.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the first half when Renan Bressan slotted the ball in, but Belenenses equalised before half time through Goncalo Brandao.

Two goals in the space of four second-half minutes from Ricardo Pinto and Carlos Martins gave the home side control.

However, Brandao put the ball into his own net in the 74th minute, before Guedes rescued Rio Ave a point.
