Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso has said that he is keen to leave the club in order to secure a spot in the Argentina squad for this summer's World Cup.
The 32-year-old has made only five league appearances for the Giallorossi this season, and wants to be playing first-team football so that he can improve his chances of going to Brazil.
"I think that after four-and-a-half years here, a cycle can be closed," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.
"I must think about the possibilities to go to the World Cup because I've played in two of them and until last season, I was playing with my national team.
"(Rudi) Garcia has been clear since the beginning of the season - we have three players for two places."
Burdisso has won 49 caps for the Argentina national side, but has not played for his country since 2011.
