Morgan De Sanctis: 'No excuses for AC Milan defeat'

Morgan De Sanctis says that it is needless for Roma to find excuses following their 2-1 defeat against AC Milan.

Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis has expressed his disappointment after his side were beaten by AC Milan on Saturday evening.

The Giallorossi failed to build upon their recent improvement in form and slipped to a 2-1 defeat at San Siro to dent their hopes of finishing in second place.

"It is needless to find excuses," De Sanctis told Sky Sport Italia. "Milan were more capable than us and closed us down well. We didn't have a high tempo to our game, and this suited Milan.

"We must understand the reasons for this, especially at the start of the game when we should have put them under more pressure than we did.

"We know we are in a delicate position but we are still masters of our own destiny even if Lazio win."

Roma return to action next Sunday with a clash against Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico.
