Radja Nainggolan confident of Roma resurgence

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan insists that he is confident that the Serie A side will return to form in the next few weeks after being held to a 1-1 draw by Torino.

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has said that he is confident that the good times will return to the club after they conceded an injury-time equaliser to Torino on Saturday.

Miralem Pjanic's goal with seven minutes remaining looked to have secured a first win in three matches for the Giallorossi but Maxi Lopez's 95th-minute spot kick earned the hosts a 1-1 draw.

Despite the last-gasp setback, Nainggolan is sure that Rudi Garcia's side can hit their stride in their upcoming run of matches, starting with securing a Champions League last-16 spot against BATE Borisov in midweek.

"Today we showed lots of desire and that is the first thing that you need to get results," he told the club's website. "Good football comes after that. We have a Champions League match to prepare for on Wednesday, which will be tough, just as today's game was.

"I think that the good times will return. We have belief in the squad, we are a strong group and we are just waiting to get back to winning ways.

"A team like us is instantly criticised if we do not win. Plus we were top at the start of the season. Now we are struggling for goals a touch but we are working hard to improve in this area. We were playing well up until a couple of games ago and things don not just vanish overnight."

Roma are fourth in Serie A after the draw, just three points off the top of the table as it stands but having played a game more than each of the top three sides.
