Roma move up to seventh place in the Serie A table with a 3-1 win over struggling Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma have moved up to seventh place in the Serie A table with a 3-1 win over struggling Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.

Francesco Totti fired the hosts into a 17th-minute lead from the penalty spot following a trip on Daniele De Rossi.

However, the visitors were level with a spot kick of their own before the break as Marco Borriello scored after he was fouled by Nicolas Burdisso.

Roma went in front again with an hour played when Alessio Romagnoli headed in at the near post from a corner.

Genoa were reduced to 10 men on 82 minutes after Juraj Kucka picked up his second yellow card of the contest.

The home side sealed the win in the 90th minute thanks to Simone Perrotta's turn and finish.
