Roma have taken all three points with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in this afternoon's Serie A clash.
The home side started strongly and took a deserved lead after some fine work on the left-hand side by Gervinho.
The winger used his pace to get to the byline and cut it across to Maicon, who kept calm and slotted home in a crowded area to make it 1-0.

Roma almost doubled their advantage on 10 minutes, although Neto kept out Daniele De Rossi's header in the box with a good save.
From the resulting corner, Adem Ljajic and Miralem Pjanic created a chance, but the latter could only fire his shot at the goalkeeper.
Giuseppe Rossi had the away side's first real chance of the game on 22 minutes, but the forward saw his effort deflected over the bar after a burst into the area.
Fiorentina equalised on 29 minutes when Nenad Tomovic cut back to the edge of the box, allowing Juan Vargas run onto it and smash the ball into the back of the net.

Gervinho had a solo effort on 57 minutes, but was denied by Neto, who saved well to keep the score level.
Kevin Strootman came close to restoring Roma's lead five minutes later, but his shot came back off the post.
Maicon nearly scored his second of the game on 67 minutes after being put in on goal, but Neto was equal to the effort once again.

Roma made it 2-1 soon after when Mattia Destro latched onto Gervinho's cross and buried from a short distance.
Manuel Pasqual tested Morgan De Sanctis on 70 minutes, firing a free kick straight to the top corner, but the goalkeeper clawed the ball out to keep Roma ahead.
Roma went down to 10 men on 87 minutes when Pjanic was given a second yellow for a foul.
