Sevilla have reportedly moved to the brink of securing a season-long loan deal for Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons.
Premier League side Crystal Palace had been interested in signing the France international, but the Eagles opted against getting the transfer over the line before the end of the transfer window.
That has seemingly let in Sevilla, who are looking for a replacement for Steven N'Zonzi who has already been signed as Gonalons's replacement at the Stadio Olimpico.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the 29-year-old has already agreed to move to the La Liga outfit for the upcoming campaign and is just awaiting an official announcement from either club.
Gonalons left Lyon to join Roma last summer, but just 12 starts and four substitute appearances came in Serie A.
