Neil Warnock has reportedly been installed as the frontrunner to fill the managerial void at Rotherham United.
The Millers have been without a boss since Monday when Neil Redfearn was sacked following a run of form that has seen the team drop into the Championship's relegation zone.
According to PA, after discussions were held with a number of candidates, 67-year-old Warnock is in line to replace Redfearn on a deal until the end of the season.
The report adds that the veteran manager could be appointed in time for the weekend's game against Birmingham City.
Warnock spent two years during his playing career with the Yorkshire-based club.
