Steve Davis wants Febian Brandy stay

Steve Davis is hoping that he can negotiate an extension to Fabien Brandy's loan spell with Crewe Alexandra.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has conceded that he would like to extend Febian Brandy's loan stint with the club.

The former Manchester United trainee arrived at Gresty Road from Rotherham last month on a four-week loan deal.

He is due to return to his parent team in the near future, but Davis has revealed that he will hold talks with Rotherham boss Steve Evans in a bid to keep hold of the 25-year-old.

"I'll speak to Steve today about Febian. We'd like to work with him for longer but we'll respect Steve's decision," he told the club's official website.

Brandy has scored one goal during his three appearances for Crewe.
